What we did
  • Redesigned N monogram (main version + business line variants)
  • Complete brand guidelines (construction, grid, palette)
  • Chromatic differentiation system (butcher/catering)
  • Print and digital templates (brochures, social media)
  • Identity usage guidelines

The insight

The heritage value of a family monogram lies in its ability to evolve without denying itself: modernize the form without erasing collective memory.

Our deliberate choices

  • Rejected the blank slate: reinterpretation of the historic N rather than creation from scratch
  • Chromatic differentiation by business rather than monolithic identity
  • Digital rationalization before amplification: clarify before accelerating

The challenge

The problem

The existing identity no longer allowed clear differentiation between the two activities (artisan butcher and premium catering), creating perceptual confusion around the company's actual positioning. The fragmented digital presence diluted brand coherence, while the historic logo, though recognized, no longer conveyed the modernity expected by a demanding clientele. The real risk was giving in to the temptation of radical reinvention and losing the symbolic capital accumulated over several decades.

  • Undifferentiated identity between butcher and catering
  • Fragmented and inconsistent digital presence
  • Historic logo recognized but aging
  • Risk of breaking with visual heritage

Our response

GOOD VIBES chose evolutionary continuity over graphic revolution. The approach: preserve the iconic N monogram by reinterpreting it with clean lines and contemporary symmetry, then differentiate the identity by business line through a distinctive color palette. This strategy balances formal modernity with respect for the family DNA, while structuring the digital presence around a clear editorial framework.

  • Reinterpreted the historic N monogram
  • Differentiated color palette by business line
  • Rationalized the digital ecosystem
  • Premium graphic charter for print materials

Strategic approach

Faced with the dilemma of pure creation versus heritage continuity, GOOD VIBES opted for intelligent optimization. We resisted spectacular visual disruption in favor of controlled evolution, ensuring simultaneous immediate recognition and perceptual elevation.

Reinterpretation

The N monogram was rebuilt on a strict geometric grid, retaining its symmetrical character but with refined lines and softened angles. This approach preserves visual memory while asserting confident formal modernity. The modular system enables coherent adaptations across all media without loss of identity.

Differentiation

Introducing a two-track color palette (warm tones for butchery, cool tones for catering) instantly clarifies positioning without multiplying logos. This strategy avoids brand fragmentation while enabling intuitive reading of expertise. Print applications exploit this logic through refined layouts adapted to seasonal catalogs.

Rationalization

The scattered digital presence was restructured around a clear architecture, distinguishing the two businesses while unifying brand messaging. Social media management now follows a coherent editorial grid, with distinct yet complementary visual codes. This coordination avoids message dilution and reinforces perceived credibility.

Elevation

The complete graphic system (stationery, sales materials, seasonal brochures) translates premium positioning through careful typographic choices and controlled visual hierarchy. Every touchpoint reflects the dual requirement of craftsmanship and modernity. The identity becomes an active commercial tool, not just a decorative signature.

How we worked

  1. 01

    Heritage audit

Analysis of the existing identity to identify elements carrying memory and differentiation.

  2. 02

    Graphic reinterpretation

Redraw the N monogram with contemporary symmetry while preserving its iconic structure.

  3. 03

    Chromatic architecture

Define a distinctive palette by business line to clarify the offer without fragmenting the brand.

  4. 04

    Digital rationalization

Structure the online presence around the unified identity and business codes.

  5. 05

    Controlled deployment

Coordinate progressive activation across all touchpoints (print, digital, signage).

Results

The redesign enabled Niessen to project a coherent, premium image across all touchpoints, while preserving hard-won recognition. The immediate endorsement from management testifies to the rightness of the balance struck between heritage and modernity.

The applications illustrate the graphic system's versatility, from the refined monogram to chromatic variations differentiated by business line.
